Is Cramping And Soreness Normal During 27th Week Of Pregnancy?

I am 27 weeks pregnant with my 3rd baby. I have been having braxton hicks all week. Today I woke up and my stomach was very sore and continued to get sore all day. I have been very uncomfortable. My stomach started cramping about 40 mins ago and getting very tight. I m not sure if it s something to be concerned with or if I am just over reacting. I know that this is the time that is very uncomfortable but I never had these type of pains with my other 2 pregnancies. Thank you for your help.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Early labor pain and conditions like PROM must be ruled out. Consult a gynecologist and get evaluated. An ultrasound scan will be better.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
