Is Crookedness Of Nose Normal After Septum Surgery?

Hello, I had a septoplasy done in July 2006, which left my nose very crooked. The doctor at the time said he would fix it without charge (I wiykd still have to pay hospital and anesthesiologist), but I decided not to as I didn t trust him after the first surgery. My question is... Is it common to have this happen after septum surgery? Is it something I coukd have caused after the surgery by sleeping wrong, etc.? And lastly, how difficult, in your opinion, would it be to straighten? Thanks in Advance, Allison

Hello Allison and welcome.

Septoplasty's can go wrong some times, but it is a more careful approach when conducted with experience. It is a common occurence, but not too common in my opinion.

It is most probably the surgeons mistake and not yours.

It should not be difficult to correct, but may be better to consult another plastic surgeon.

Best wishes.
