Is Curettage Best Option For Low Heartbeat Of Fetus Of Around 82bpm?

my daughter is approximately 7 weeks gestation and she had a doctor listen to the baby's heartbeat today and she was told that it was around 82bpm. The doctor said this is too low and then discussed plans for curettage. Is this too low for baby to be viable

Hello Madam,

In a normal intra uterine pregnancy the heart rate is around 140/ minute at 7 weeks of gestational age. At such an early gestational age, it is advisable to wait and repeat ultrasound after a period of two weeks to confirm the viability of the embryo. It is better to decide at termination after the repeat ultrasound.
