Is Delayed Menstruation A Symptom Of Pregnancy?

Hi there my husband and i have been trying for 5 weeks now to get pregnant. About 2 weeks ago i had a diagnosed hormonal Aura migraine, I had very sore nipples and now i am 3 days late for my period. (ALL the same symptoms i dealth with with my first pregnancy.) Ive taken 2 at home pregnancy tests and both were negative but normally i have my period like clockwork every 28 days... do you recommend i get with my Dr now to determine a pregnancy or wait longer? We got pregnant with my last pregnancy with only 1 week of trying... very fast no issues... just looking for insight... or reasons why i could maybe have a false negative test

Hello,

A false negative pregnancy test may happen if it is too early for the changes to be detected by the urinary test. Thus, you may need to try another pregnancy test, with the morning urine (this is more concentrated and increases the chance of being positive).

For a more accurate result, you may see your doctor and have a blood test called BHCG. If this is negative then pregnancy is unlikely.
