Is Delayed Period A Sign Of Pregnancy?

hi iam suppose to get my periods on 7/7/12 but now it is 15/7/12 till now i didn't get my periods. i had unprotected sex on 7/7/12 and previously had protected sex two times. Last month also i had my periods 5days late. I want to know is there any possibilities for me getting pregnant.

Thanks for consulting at my virtual clinic. I have carefully gone through your query, and I think I have understood your concern. I will try to address your medical concerns and would suggest you the best of the available treatment options.

1) First of all do not panic.

2) Unprotected sex on 7/7/12 i.e. on the expected date of menses is in the safe period, so so not worry about pregnancy. Usually day 10 to 20 of the periods is the most fertile period of the cycle.SO latunprotected sex act will not lead to pregnancy. Ans you had protected sex acts before that. So there is almost no chance of getting pregnant.

3) Of course, I will suggest you to get morning's first sample of urine to be tested for pregnancy, to rule out pregnancy as a cause of delayed periods.

4) USG will be of help to know if PCOS is a cause for your irregular cycles.
