Is Delayed Periods With Bloating Sign Of Pregnancy?

can 50 mcg of synthroid each day cause me to miss a period? i am 7 days late, but the pregnancy tests i've taken have been negative. i also just saw black spots in my stool -- can cucumbers cause this? i've been eating an abnormal amount of them the past few days. i've been having gastro issues for awhile, and my doctor, after running a bunch of tests, put me on synthroid.



i'm 29, about 5'6", and about 135 lbs.

Hello,
I have gone through your query and understood the concern. Menstrual irregularities are possible with use of levothyroxine usage, though frequency is not reported. This could be a cause of your missed period if you have started the medication recently. Black color in stool can be due to altered blood or some undigested food material. A laboratory exam will help to know for sure. I do not think cucumber can cause this discoloration of the stool, because it gets digested. Please contact your consultant for further management. If you wish to confirm/exclude pregnancy, please go for the blood test. Hope this helps.
