Is Delayed Periods With Thick White Discharge Due To Altered Body Function From Long Term Use Of Contraceptive Pills?
Basically I came off the conceptive pill due to get causing bleeding throughout my cycle, when I finished the pill I had a period I was then told to stop taking the pill for 2 months to see if the irregular bleeding continued, me and my partner had an incident so took the morning after pill the afternoon afterwards, my last period started on the 31st October but haven't had Any since but because of not knowing when I was due to come on I have been worrying myself? I have had thick white discharge what is the cause of this? Because I have been on the 'pill' for two years I have lost track of my normal body cycle should I be worried?
Hi, thank you for writing to Healthcare Magic. I have gone through your query and understood your worries. Thick white discharge may be caused by any of the following: Yeast infection (other symptoms include itching or burning sensation) or ovulation (some women experience clear, slippery cervical mucus instead). If you do not have any itches or burning sensation, then ovulation is likely the cause. I hope I have answered your query I wish you good health
