I have been on a course of cipro for a uti and now I am on amox/k clav 875mgs twice daily for an abcessed tooth that had to be extracted. I am beginning to feel depressed and I never feel like this - I am researching side effects I guess this can happen?

Hi
Thanks for using healthcare magic

Some time due to physical problem, we feel low mood. Transient low mood is not depression. If you feel low mood, tiredness, sleep disturbance, negative thoughts for minimun two weeks, then depression could be possible. Antibiotics do not cause depression. What ever you are feeling, just due to underline physical symptoms, that would improve with time.

Thanks
