Is Difficulty Breathing And Throat Wheezing 6 Hours After Inhaling Clorox And Harpic Fumes An Emergency?
Hi I inhaled fumes of Clorox and harpic when I was cleaning washroom by mixing both.for one hour I faced severe breathing problem I went outside and inhaled fresh air after that I got some relax but still iam having trouble in breathing and my throat is wheezing.its been 6hours when I inhaled that fumes.is this any emergency condition please let me know
Getting fresh air by removing yourself from the fumes was the right thing to do. However, this can be serious, yes. Therefore, seek medical care immediately. Even though you feel “a bit better” now, you still have trouble breathing, your throat is wheezing and it’s already been 6 hours.
There may be ongoing lung irritation or even delayed damage (chemical pneumonitis, airway injury, etc.) as you have inhaled toxic gas or fumes. You are advised to go to an emergency room or urgent care center immediately. You need urgent medical aid. Please go and get connected with healthcare professionals in emergency room, get treated at the earliest. Do not wait for symptoms to get worse.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
