Is Difficulty In Breating Due To Overexertion Of The Body?
I am having breathing problems It seems like I have difficulty getting a full breath to exhale. I went to urgent care and then they sent me to hospital and all the tests they did were normal. blood, EKG, a little abnormality in EKG and I am scheduled for a Echo Stress test. Previously I had a regular Echo on carotid artery and it showed I was 50% blocked in both the left and right. I am 68 year old otherwise healthy about 103 lbs 5'2''. I am on Prolia for osteoporosis and take calcium and I was dancing the night when this started. I do ballroom dancing and rhythm dancing. Could this be from overexertion. Oh yes the X-ray was clear but it did appear the lungs were overinflated.
Since your EKG is abnormal, the possibility of heart disease-related exertional breathing difficulty is more likely.
So first get done 2d echo and stress test (trade mill test). If all these are normal then no need to worry about heart diseases. Your chest X-ray is also showing hyperinflation.
So also get done PFT (Pulmonary Function Test) for the diagnosis of COPD. If this is also normal then your difficulty in breathing is mostly due to overexertion.
