Is Dihydrotestosterone Level Of 24 Sufficient To Be Athletic?

Hi, I'm a very athletic and fit male 33 yrs old. I just had my physical and blood work done and all
Turned out "great" and in "normal" zones, except however for my dihydrotestosterone which is at "24". Im reading that the "normal" range is 25-75. I've been taking finasteride for 6 years,(1.25mg, 5times a week). My overall testosterone tested at 541and my Free T4 at 1.22. It reall seems to my research that my levels are on the VERY low end of the "normal" levels, especially since I'm going for the target levels of a VERY athletic and very healthy male... What is your opinion please? Thank you very much, Ryan

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

If you are taking hormone since years then it may change the normal range of other hormones too but in the absence of clinical symptoms there is nothing to worry.

Let me inform you that better not to take the hormone without absolute indication even with that it cannot be taken for such a long time of 6 years.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Akhtarhusain
