Is Discharge Of White Liquid From The Marsupialization Site A Concern?
I just had a marsupialization of a mucocele 5 days ago, and noticed there is a small amount of white discharge in the open wound (they couldn t sew it up as it was over nerves). I m wondering how much of that is normal, or if I should automatically go to the doctor tomorrow for an infection. I feel fine otherwise, some soreness but that was to be expected.

Hello,
Clear or colourless discharge is one of the signs of healing.
If the discharge is whitish or whitish yellow then it indicates sign of infection and needs to be worried. Culture and sensitivity has to be done from the discharge and you have to use proper antibiotics according to the report.
Please consult your treating doctor for more suggestions and good treatment.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
