Is Doctor Visit Required For A 3 Year Old Who Has A Red Bump With A White Head For 2- 3 Days?

my toddler (3yo) has a small red bump with a white head. If he were older, I would suspect a pimple, as it looks the same. I am wondering if I should take him to his doctor, as it has been there for 2 or 3 days, and someone remarked that it could be a spider bite

Hello,
Welcome to healthcare magic.
From your history and description, it could be mosquito bite reaction ( papular urticaria) or a viral infection called as molluscum contagiosum. Spider bites are painful and more angry looking. You could Google for images of molluscum contagiosum and check if they look the same. It has to be extracted by a dermatologist as it tends to spread.
Hope this helps you.
Take care.
