Is Dose Of Aspilets Necessary During Pregnancy To Lower High BP?

Good day Dr. Jain. I am sheryll, 6 weeks preganant and i am 35 years old. my questions is 140/70 is already considered a borderline hypertensive? and why is it my obgyne advised me to have a 2 weeks bed rest and to take 14 tablets of aspilets for my blood pressure. my first pre-natal was last jan.3 and my blood pressure is 130/70 and my next visit was last jan. 14 and my blood pressure is 140/70. now i am a bit confused because as per my understanding taking aspilet is for people with high blood pressure so why do i need to take 14 tablets eventhough the foolowing days after my last visit my blood pressure was 125/70 and 120/70. i am scared that i'll be dependent on the medication. please im so scared about my condition and what im thinking now is that this will lead to pre-eclampsia or eclampsia and yet we dont have a family history of blood pressure. thank you so much.
