Is Draining Of Pus At The Incision Site Post Hysterectomy Normal?

11 days ago I had a robotic hysterectomy. 4 days ago, one of my incision started draining. Clear at first, but not a little yellow. I m not talking about a little drainage, but a considerable amount. I have to change pads frequently. Is this drainage normal?

Hi
Your incision wound is infected. You might be needing to drain that pus if its huge from ur nearby hospital. Do dressings regularly. Take tab. amoxicillin 500mg thrice daily for 5 days alongwith a painkiller like paracetamol.
Thank you for contacting HCM.
