Is Draining Of The Fluid From A Felon On The Thumb Necessary?
I got a felon in my right thumb three months ago. There still appears to be fluid in the lower portion of the thumb. I previously had the finger incised and drained and took Bactrim. Does this sound like another draining is necessary or is three months normal for healing?
Felon is an abscess on finger tip. The pus should be drained by making small incision. So, consult the general surgeon or Dermatologist to get perfect treatment.
Hope this helps.
