Is Drinking And Smoking Advisable When Suffering From High MCV?

MCV is 105.4 which I know is high. Dr. Recommends cut down on alcohol and quit smoking. I am working on both. Also starting Multivitamin. I had a NP tell me he would only be worried if I drank more than 6 oz of vodka in my drinks. What do you think?

Hello
Welcome here.
No amount or variety of alcohol is beneficial for body. The current literature does not suggest any beneficial effects of alcohol on body as against the earlier claims.
In my opinion you should completely quit smoking and alcohol.
Thanks.
