Is Driving Advisable While On Hydrocodone-acetaminophen?
Hello, I was prescribed Hydrocodone-acetaminophen for a fractured ankle (first mid-diagnosed as a sprain). I was not able to drive while taking this pill. The doctor s office is refusing to write an our of work: note for the three days I was taking it. What are the precautions for driving while taking this med? I think it s a class II drug in California.
Hydrocodone is an opioid pain medication. Acetaminophen is a less potent pain reliever, but increases the effects of hydrocodone. Most frequently reported side effects include lightheadedness, dizziness, drowsiness, and mental clouding, which can have risk while driving vehicles. Hence it would be better avoided while on such medications.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Ashakiran S,
