Is Ear Fluid Drainage Normal After An Ear Infection?

I had an inner ear infection and ruptured my eardrum. I was on antibiotics and the ear infection went away and I can finally hear clearly again. But, my ear is still draining fluid. Its been getting lighter but its been almost 2 weeks and it seems to be a lot of leaking.

Hello,
Perforation(hole) of ear drum is the most common cause of chronic ear draining after ear infection.Eustachian tube dysfunction and upper respiratory tract infection can act as predisposing factors for this chronic ear drainage.Keeping ear dry, instillation of ear drops might solve your condition. Please consult an ENT for expert management of the same.
