General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for writing to HCM.
Well, junk foods has its own adverse effects in health. Nothing has been yet proved to have direct effects on fetus during its consumption in pregnancy.
It might be associated with development of gestational diabetes and pregnancy induced hypertension, which would indirectly affect growing fetus.
In your case, if the growth and development of the fetus is good as indicated by scan reports and there are no anomalies seen, then you need not worry much.
Just relax and stop taking junk foods from now on.
Eat healthy food, drink plenty of water, keep yourself fit and free from worries.
All the best.
