Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My husband said we should not eat meat after the age of 50 and get a more vegan life style especially me cause I have Type 2 diabetes...is he wrong or right? I like some meats but i don t over do it...small amts and small portions. My diabetes is under control and I m not on insulin.
For diabetes, blood glucose levels is to be maintained under control! In the long run, vegetarian diet is suitable for diabetes (vegetables, fruits, selected ones) boiled, steamed etc! instead of white flour, mixed flour is more suitable. People learning to do meditation seem to have much faster healing also.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Sunny Madar, General & Family Physician
