When benefits outweigh the risks, doctors may prescribe ecospirin in pregnancy.
There are some cases where it's fine to take a prescribed dose of aspirin during pregnancy, if it's for a medical reason. For example, if you have a condition called Hughes Syndrome (antiphospholipid syndrome or APS), in which pregnant women hah high risk of miscarriage
low doses of aspirin during pregnancy also prescribed in case your wife has risk of developing pre-eclampsia. Pre-eclampsia happens when there's a problem with the way the placenta works. Pre-eclampsia may develop in conditions of long-running high blood pressure, severe diabetes, kidney disease, or if she had pre-eclampsia before. Your wife is suffering from high BP and diabetes, this may be the reason for prescribing ecospirin. Remember to take ecospirin as prescribed by your doctor and dont increase the dosage with out knowledge of your doctor.
