Is Ectopic Pregnancy Possible If Urine Test Is Positive And Ultrasound Negative?

iam 27 years old.I missed my menustration for 5 weeks now.When i missed my period i did a urine test for pregnancy in my GP and it was positive.Me and my husband decided to abort the baby because my first baby is just 1 1/2 years and he was a premature baby.From myGP they referred me to parkview clinic,ealing for abortion.There they did ultrasound scanning and it was negative for pregnancy.Then they got doubt about the GP pegnancy report and again they did a pregnancy test and it was also negative.After 1 week again i did a pregnancy test in the home,it was also negative.Is there any chance for ectopic pregnancy?My last menustration was 10/1/2011.Please give me an advice sir.Thank you

It seems, the first urine pregnancy test (UPT) was fales negative since the subsequent two UPT performed were negative, so also ultrasonography revealed empty uterus.

Hmm, had your UPTs remained positive and ultrasound showing empty uterus, the chances of ectopic pregnancy would have been very high. However, such is not the case. Do not be under stress. You are not pregnant.

I hope both of you will have good sound sleep now.
