Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
My kidney doctor just prescribed atenolol for my high blood pressure and I have also been retaining fluid, maybe from norvasc. I found out today through the pharmacy that the atenolol is hard to get and I am also afraid of some of the affects I have read about. He is also prescribing chlorthalidome instead of norvasc and atenolol instead of hydrochlorothizide. I don t know what to do except I would like to stay on hydrochlorothizide because I believe I actually did not retain water when I was on it. I am dealing with two doctors. what do you think.
