Is Elevated CBC Level Dangerous?

Hello, I am 31 year old male - I had went to the ER for unrelated issues & they done a CBC which came back that my hemoglobin was up to 18. I had to follow up on monday to do a full workup to check out some stuff They did a EKG - Blood Gas - & another CBC the EKG came back good, the blood gas came back good - the CBC came back w/ the same number of 18. I am just alittle concerned as the doctor said they like to see if at 15 to 16 & 18 was elevated. So please any advise would help claim me down anxiety and depression I am not sure if that triggers it.

You are probably a smoker, this high hemoglobin
You are at risk for either hemochromatosis or policytemia vera both serious condition you should follow up with your doctor cause if you do have any of this condition you are at higher risk for clotting
And that is a chance you don't want to take. Stroke are no joke. Quit smoking find out whether you have any of this condition. Go to a specialist in thus area. This specialist are are vascular internal medicine doctors if they are non in your area go to the bigger city in your area. They are not hard to find they usually practice with cardiologist if in what you call a coumadin clinic.
