Is Elevated RDW Levels Which Is Causing Significant Hairloss A Matter Of Concern?

I had blood work done and the rdw was 15.4. I noticed it on the sheet of results that was given to me. It read on the paper high. In the past month I ve had significant hair loss. Thyroid is normal Dr told me to take prenatal vitamins and use protein on my hair??? Is this a concern to have this # elevated. Thank you
