Is Emetrol Safe For Nausea During Pregnancy?

I am 6 or 7 wks and I am really nauseous. I took Zofran in my last pregnancy for severe nausea and I miscarried in my second trimester and 4 1/2 mths. I don;t believe they were relate, but I would like to try something less harsh such as Emetrol this time around. Do you know if this safe for the baby and will it make me sleepy? It doesn t say so on the box. Thank you. L

Hello ma'am and welcome.

First of all, please do not self-prescribe ever, and especially not during pregnancy. You are responsible for the life of your baby growing inside of you, and while you can tolerate many things as an adult your growing baby might not be able to.

Although emetrol is considered safe during pregnancy, I still stand by my previous statement. Take the medication only if your doctor prescribes it and not otherwise.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
