Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am slightly confused. My regular doctor had done an EKG in her office and detected an irregularity (I needed an EKG prior to having a breast lumpectomy) several years ago. So after that I had the stress test, echocardiogram and then eventually the EPS study and ablation because they decided that I had IVT. My doctor said that my echocardiogram showed signs that I had a heart attack at some time. I had pain for a week several months before this time and never went to the hospital for it. They said it might never happen again. Is this serious enough to disclose when I am going to have an endoscopy done.

Is Endoscopy A Normal Procedure?
Welcome and thank you for asking on HCM! I have gone through your question. Yes, you need to disclose your heart problems before undergoing any procedure. it ensures preparedness of medical care/staff and an optimal outcome would be ensured . more importantly your safety will be ensured. Hope to have been helpful! Wishing good health, Dr D Sunil Reddy
