Is Endoscopy Safe For A Person With Acute Angioedema?

Hello. I have just been diagnosed with acute angioedema. I have an endoscopy scheduled for Tuesday and have been reading that this procedure can be bad for someone with angioedema. My symptoms were severe abdominal pain, bloating and gassy feeling, swelling of the lips, face and genitals. I saw the gastroenterologist first, then my regular doctor, then an allergy specialist. The symptoms were happening 2 to 3 times per week with stomach pain of some sort every day. My doctor gave me prednisone, which took away the pain and swelling for a week now. Should I continue with the endoscopy?

I have gone through your query and being your physician i completely understand your health concerns.
For how long u are suffering from it? Any other associated problem? like diabetes or hypertension?
As far as endoscopy is concerned , in my opinion it is not a contraindication in angioedema.. you should follow your scheduled endoscopy. it will go well. no need to painc .
