Is Epitherical Cells Level Normal In The Urine Test?

hi doctor, yesterday i had a urine test the result is : RBC (2-3) HPF/ Epitherial cells (+) HPF/ Crystals ( amorphous urate ++++) and i am pregnant (3 weeks). is there any concern? what is your advice? thanks a lot. sorry i am from Iraq and i dont have credit cards. first i didn t know your anwer wouldn t be free. thanks again.

Hello and welcome to HCM,

The interpretation of the urine test is as follows:
Epithelial cells in urine are derived from the shedding of the lining cells from the urothelial tract.
Epithelial cells can accompany infection or any other lesion like stones.

Presence of red blood cells in urine can be due to bleeding in the urinary tract.
Stones are common cause of bleeding.
Thus, a complete examination of the urinary tract with investigations is required.

I would suggest you to consult your primary healthcare provider with the report for proper management.
