Is Excess Bleeding Normal With Intake Of Althea Pills?

Hi Good morning.I am taking althea pills for 5 months now, but recently I am experiencing a breakthrough bleeding for almost 1 week now. I m terrified cause I don t know what to do, If I should continue taking the pills or change it... Is the bleeding normal?Thanks Ann

Hi I think it is common to have breakthrough bleeding while taking birth control pills. You can take some medicines like tranexamic acid to stop the bleeding. It will resolve on its own. Wait for few months. Hope it helps.
