Is Exercising Safe While Suffering From A Foot Drop?

I am a 38 year old male, I experienced a right parietal parafalcine meningioma in 2015 and got operated in September 2015. Post operation I developed foot drop on left leg and was on foot drop splint. I was taking Levipil 750 mg tablets twice a day, my doctor has gradually reduced my dosage to Levipil 500 mg twice a day to be taken for next 5 years. I have started gyming to reduce my weight, is it safe? What are the possible side effects and how much time it will take to cure my foot drop and any side effects I may experience if any? I feel dizzy / dazed while doing cardio exercises sometimes otherwise I have no other issues. Please advice.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

You should consult your cardiologist for the added physical activity and dose management of Levipil.

While the foot drop regeneration depends on how big was the lesion caused by meningioma. Definitely, the physical activity will help regeneration.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
