Is Extra Dosage Of Bisoprolol Advisable For Elevated Blood Pressure?

i have been on Bisoprolol 10mg mane for approx 15years to control non specific tachy and hypertension. My bp climbing a bit probably due to recent bereavement distress and a very busy work schedule.bp at the minute 158/94 ..... can i take a second dose short term on a one off until I go back to GP re change in Rx

It would be best not to use this twice a day since it is only to be used once daily.

If the dosing frequency is increased then there would increased risk of side effects such as reduced heart rate, dizziness, headache, shortness of breath.

Though the reading is higher than your blood pressure goal, it should not cause acute damage and you can wait to go to your GP if your appointment is short.
