My Grandfather is 89 years old he recently was told he might have multiple myeloma. I just got his results at my office. It says Light Chains Kappa Free is 340.0 extremly high because it is suppose to be between 3.3-19.4 (mg/L). How urgent is this?

Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
The values of light chain Kappa what you have mentioned is quite high and it is a confirmatory test to diagnose multiple myeloma.
You need to consult Physician at the earliest and take treatment appropriately for it as it may cause damage to vital organs like liver, bones and kidneys.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
