Is Fatigue After Bronchitis, Cough And Sickness Normal?
Hi, and thank you. I was diagnosed with bronchitis last Sunday, after having been sick for two weeks. I was given a steroid shot, as well as 5 days of antiobiotics. I am much better, my cough has pretty much gone away....accept when I m really tired....but I m still fatigued. Is that normal? Will it eventually just go away, or should I return to a doctor?
Thanks for your question on HCM. I can understand your situation and problem. In my opinion you are having viral bronchitis. Viral illness is typically self limiting and takes 2-3 weeks atleast for recovery. Since your most of the symptoms are improved, your fatigue will mostly improve in 1-2 week. So no need to worry much. Drink plenty of fluids and keep yourself hydrated. After 2 weeks, if you still feel fatigued than consult doctor and get done investigation s like CBC (complete blood count), chest x ray etc to search for the cause. At present no need to worry much. You will mostly improved.
