Hello,
I have gone through your query and understood the concern. If you have never had this sort of spotting earlier, you should wait for a couple of days and repeat the home pregnancy test with a fresh early morning sample of urine. If positive, you can get further help from a specialist. A proper clinical exam followed by a trans-vaginal sonogram to locate the gestation sac, viability and age of the pregnancy are needed. If negative, you should suspect transient hormone balance and if there is no period seen in a week, get help from an expert. Hope this helps.
