Is Fever And Swelling In Face Normal After An Endoscopy And Colonoscopy?

I had an upper endoscopy and colonoscopy yesterday. As the day went on yesterday I developed a fever and abdomen pain. I was told to go to the ER and I was cleared with the dr saying I probably have a viral infection. Today my fever is gone, but my fave is swollen. I notice it near my eyes and especially on the right side. Is this normal?

Hi,

In absence of persists abdominal pain, nausea or vomiting, such as welling near eyes (one sided) seems to be due to viral sinusitis. Anti-cold medicine over the counter with vapor inhalation would help. In case of persistent abdominal pain/urinary complaints you need to consult your investigating surgeon.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
