Is Fever Common Post Laproscopic Surgery ?

Had laproscopic surgery four days ago.Still in a lot of pain but slowly getting better. Now I ve developed a low grade temp (100.1)but there is no evidence of infection at my incision sites. Able to pass both urine and bm. No vomiting, no sob. Have a slight dry cough ( like twice an hour) and pain under right rib cage. My question is, how concerning Is the fever? Every thing seems too be going in the right direction but that.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Consult your surgeon and get evaluated. We have to rule out possible causes like chest congestion and wound infection. Antibiotics may be required empirically.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
