Is Fever Normal After Getting Tattoo Done?

Fever after getting tattoo. Reputable establishment, tattoos before, but small ones. No swelling or streaks around tattoo, but it took 4 1/2 hours to get done. I have heard this can be from the trauma of having that much work done at one time. Is this true?

HI, fever after tattooing is generally due to stress related to pin trauma. Rarely, fever may also be because of secondary bacterial infection of the tattoo. unfortunately, we tend to miss it in the color of the tattoo.
If fever subsides after 1 or 2 days, it is reactionary.
If it persists and produce regional swelling, you may need antibiotics.
hope this helped.
