Is Fibroid Removal The Only Solution For Heavy And Clotty Bleeding?

Hi. I was diagnosed with fibroids two years back and my doctor kept on birth control pills but I did not work due to prolonged bleeding that caused me to be anaemic. Last year September my doctor suggested I should go on depo provera injection. I have taken 3 shots but surprisingly I have been bleeding in all the shots non- stop. My doctor gave me Premarin to help with the bleeding but it didn t stop. The bleeding is heavy with large clots and it does not stop. I am planning to remove the fibroid since I am so tired with the bleeding and the anaemia. Pls Doctor help me in this situation. Your advice will be highly appreciated.

Hi
Subserosal fibroids cause heavy menstrual bleeding and if your family is complete, you can have surgical removal of uterus. You need to consult your gynaecologist. If you are for for surgery and if your family is complete & you do not want to conceive now, you can undergo surgery safely. Thank you for contacting us.
