Is Filaria Associated Swelling Of Feet And Ankles?

dear sir/madam
i have swelling in my both feets..its more in right one...swelling mainly surrounding the ankles (external side)...in right foot the swelling is coming right upto the root of the fingers...
there is no pain, my movements are not restricted in any sense...only slight discomfort...kindly advise...could it be filaria setting in? what medicines? i am on ship...i do have a medical chest here but no doctors.
