Is Flight Travel Advisable During 17 Week Of Pregnancy?

Dear Doctor, I m now pregant twins at week 14 by IVF and going to have my cervix stitched next week. I would like to know if I could go on an hour flight to Bangkok (I m leaving in Vietnam) for my family visiting when I reach week 17? Thank you and looking forward for your feedback!

Hi,

Well, you can travel at 17 weeks of pregnancy. But only issue is that you should not be sitting for long hours. Try mobilizing yourself during flight and keep doing ankle circles and change in leg position. It is advisable you travel in first class as there will be more comfort there.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. H. Kay, General & Family Physician
