Is Fluttering In Breast With Sleep Apnea Related To Heart Disorder?

59 year old female with RA, hypothyroidism, recently diagnosed severe sleep apnea, 5'5 and 190 lbs. Bipolar disorder. Meds include Celexa, Folic Acid, Prednisone and Methotrexate. For the past 6 mos. about once a week I get a fluttering feeling underneath lower left breast. Never had indigestion or heartburn. Could this be heart related.

Hi WELCOME TO HCM,
This precordial fluttering of heart in your case is likely to be Atrial flutter, which is a type of conduction disturbance associated with heart rhythm. This is most likely to be associated with Hypothyroidism.Correction of hypothyroid state with thyroxine can help to control this rate disturbance.specific antiarrythmics like amiodarone with warfarin prophylaxis can prevent thromboembolism to other organs.Weight reduction and electrocadioversion can permanently help to control the atrial fibrillation rate.Consult your cardiologist for further queries.
Thank you
