Is Flying Safe While Suffering From UTI?

My daughter had a closed myomectomy w removal of many small and three large (including one eleven 11 cm) she had to stay in hospital after the procedure due to pain. She developed a urinary tract infection afterwards. It’s been only two weeks since surgery. Is it ok for her to take a two hour plane flight? What of clotting risk? Thank you

hi sir/mam, as such urinary tract infection is not a contraindication for air travel.but surgery to a hollow viscus definitely forbids the patient from air travel for 2 weeks.of course in your case,2 weeks have elapsed and closed myomectomy carries almost nil bleeding.so, I conclude saying that your daughter can safely have air travel.anyway, you kindly discuss with your obstetrician.hope I'm clear.any further doubts, please let me know and it's my pleasure to guide you.wish you and your family a very happy, healthy and peaceful new year 2018.thank you.take care.bye.
