Is Fungal Infection Related With, Itchy Sores On Face And Eye Swelling?
Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Good morning I wonder if you can help. I have developed 2 sore really itchy red patches on my face. One on right of chin and the other on eyelid. No discharge just raised red - tried hydrocortisone and Dakacort - not working!!! Is it fungal do you think? Eye has swollen lid and only half open - no pain and scalp is itchy. BW Sarah

It is possible that it is fungal infection. This can cause an itchy rash to occur. In most cases the rash has a round appearance and may be scaly as well.
A topical antifungal would help though it can take 2 to 3 weeks sometimes for complete response.
Eg of topical antifungals are ketoconazole, miconazole, econazole
