Is Gangrene Possible Post A Cholecystectomy?

Sunday night at ER with severe pain, CAT scan showed A Gallbladder Gallstone. I have sat at home taking Hydrocodone/Acetimenifin every 6 hours with 100.5 Deg F Fever, I have an appointment tomorrow to visit a GI surgeon for removal of the Gall Blader. Should I be concerned about infection / gangreen .My white count was within normal range according to the nurse

I really understand your concern for your health condition. As per your history and severity of pain there is possibility of pancreatitis which is an inflammation of pancreas due to gall stone may get stuck at pancreas entry point. It can be because of infection due to the presence of gall stone also called as cholecystitis. So I would suggest to consult your GI surgeon and get his advice regarding your situation.
