Is Getting Tetanus Shot After Slight Piercing Of Skin By Dog Needed?

i was meant to go for a tetanus jab about 6-8 months ago but havn't been and i just got bitten by my pet dog as she is protective with things and tried to take something from her and she bit me. there was no bleeding just a slight piercing of the skin and is a little purple but im worried as i havn't had a tetanus jab will anything happen to me

Though Tetanus is recommended if there is bleeding from the wound , I would still advise you to get a Tetanus shot as you were due for that . Don't worry just because you have not got the Tetanus shot on the due date doesn't mean that you can get tetanus now .

Just get the Shot now and you will be protected . I hope your pet dog is vaccinated to Rabies too .
