Is Giving Amoxicilline To Infant For Ear Infection Safe?

My Doc. Rx amoxicilline for my 9 1/2 mth old baby, he has an ear infection and sinitis, this is the 3rd time he s had it, I want to make sure it s the right drug for him, also the dose is higher then it was in both times previous. 5 mls 3 x per day, he only weighs around 19 lbs
