Is Having A Hard Knot In The Upper Inner Thigh Without Any Pus A Matter Of Concern?

I have found a hard knot on my upper inner thigh/ close to pelvic bone. No puss or "head" thought it might be an ingrown hair but it has been 2 weeks not any better : actually getting bigger : it's hard and hurts.should I wait and see or go to doctor ? I an 49 married and taking HRT Thank you

Hard knot near inner thigh might be due to lymph node enlargement.
Lymph node swelling occurs if there is any infection or inflammation in the region.
It will decrease once primary cause has been cured.
If not decreasing a course of antibiotics might be necessary for cure.
