Is Having Blood Transfusion Safe During Pregnancy?
Hi. I am currently 38 weeks pregnant. My HB count was 9.0 during week 35 hence taken 6iron injections & enough diet inspite of which my HB count remained the same 9.4.now my doc is advising me for blood transfusion which I don t want for. Could you plz advice me if there are any other options available for me? Is blood transfusion safe to my baby? Do I have to face any complications if I don t go for blood transfusion? Can I take blood after delivery?

At this stage of pregnancy with low haemoglobin, blood transfusion is the only available solution & it will have positive effects on your baby & your own health. Delivery with low hemoglobin can lead to serious consequences and transfusion is absolutely safe.
